monte falterona
Mount Falterona is a plateau which is part dell'Appennino Tuscan-Romagna. The promontory is a destination for excursions and visits together to the nearby Monte Falco, one of the most interesting Casentino. Its summit is crossed from the border between the province of Florence and Arezzo. The mountain is characterized by a structure arenacea, composed of vegetation beech, while its flanks flows the source of the Arno river. Even if that mountain is only 1654 m high s.l.m. has become famous because of a share of 1358 metres is possible to find a source called Capo d'Arno, considered the origin of the river Arno.
